Purpose
The purpose of the NovaChange program is to equip participants with the capabilities required to prepare, plan, lead, implement and measure organizational change initiatives. The program provides research-based best practices, practical tools and proven frameworks for effective change management. In addition, the program helps participants in defining their role as change leaders and strengthening their awareness of their own leadership approach.
Throughout the program, participants will receive instruction, participate in individual and group exercises and continuously work on a self-selected change case that forms the basis for the final certification module.
Learning Objectives
Develop knowledge, tools and frameworks to effectively plan, lead, implement and measure change initiatives and transformation processes within organizations.
Strengthen awareness of personal leadership in times of change, using emotional intelligence as a foundation and develop a personal leadership code including values and leadership vision.
Gain insight into the role of emotional intelligence in organizational change and relationships, and develop practical techniques and tools to strengthen EQ competencies through targeted exercises and structured development.
Build competencies in meeting, process, and workshop facilitation within change initiatives, while gaining clarity about one’s own role as a change facilitator.
Expected Outcomes
Participants will achieve:
A strong practical understanding and mastery of change management as a discipline
The knowledge and ability to apply practical tools, methods, and theories related to change management and emotional intelligence
Increased self-awareness and leadership confidence in the role of a change leader
A higher success rate for organizational change initiatives and stronger engagement among stakeholders
Reduced resistance and fewer conflicts during transformation processes
Greater psychological safety and stronger collaboration across teams, project groups, and organizational units
Program Modules
Duration: ½ day
The program begins with an introduction to change management as a discipline. Participants will explore different types of organizational change, examine why many transformation initiatives fail and gain clarity on the role and key competencies required of an effective change leader.
Duration: ½ day
This module explores emotional intelligence and the five core EQ competencies, including their significance for organizational change and leadership effectiveness.
Participants will examine how leaders’ behavior influences employee behavior, wellbeing and mental health. The module also explores how emotional intelligence forms the foundation for successful change by fostering motivation, meaning, co-creation, productivity, engagement, psychological safety and lifelong learning.
Participants will also work with their own EQ and receive practical tools to actively strengthen their emotional intelligence.
Duration: 1½ days
In this module, participants learn how to plan, lead, implement and measure change initiatives.
The module provides a deep dive into the different phases of change and introduces practical tools and methods applicable to each phase. Participants will work extensively with a self-selected change case, using it throughout the program to conduct analyses, reflect on challenges and design solutions based on the knowledge, methods, and frameworks introduced in the program.
Duration: 1 day
This module provides participants with a strong understanding of why and how resistance and power dynamics emerge in change processes and organizational relationships.
Participants will learn how the brain responds to change and explore the psychological mechanisms and dynamics that influence reactions to transformation initiatives. The module also focuses on how resistance can be transformed into a driving force for progress and how to work strategically with stakeholders throughout the change process.
Duration: ½ day
Are you fully aware of your role as a facilitator when leading change?
Change leaders are often responsible for facilitating meetings, workshops, and collaborative processes. However, facilitation is a professional discipline with structured methods and tools that many change leaders have not yet fully integrated into their toolkit.
In this module, participants develop their facilitation capabilities and gain practical methods and tools to design and lead engaging, effective, and outcome-oriented meetings, workshops, and change processes.
Duration: 1 day
Two weeks prior to this module, participants submit the change case they have developed throughout the program.
The program concludes with participants presenting their change case, demonstrating their ability to translate knowledge, theory, and reflection into practical application. These presentations form the basis for collective learning, reflection, and discussion among participants and facilitators.
Upon completion of the program, each participant receives a NovaChange Change Pilot certification (both physical and digital).
