Course Description
High-performing teams do not happen by accident. They are built deliberately, consistently and with a clear understanding of the human dynamics that either drive or undermine collective performance.
High-Performance Teams - Building Teams That Deliver is an intensive, hands-on two-day course designed for leaders and managers who want to build teams that truly excel.
This 2-day course goes beyond theory, combining evidence-based frameworks with immersive, experiential learning methods to give participants both the insight and the practical tools to transform how their team operates.
Drawing on the research of Patrick Lencioni, Amy Edmondson and Google's Project Aristotle, participants will gain a deep understanding of what separates high-performing teams from average ones, and what leaders do differently to create them. The course places strong emphasis on self-awareness, psychological safety and the leadership behaviours that build trust, unlock motivation and create the conditions for sustained high performance.
Through creative workshops, structured diagnostics, feedback exercises and hands-on application, participants will leave with a clear picture of their team's current strengths and development areas - and a concrete, actionable plan for what to do next.
The result is a more confident, capable and self-aware leader who knows how to build a team that communicates openly, handles conflict constructively and consistently delivers at its highest level.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
Understand the key factors that distinguish high-performing teams from average ones and diagnose where your team currently stands

Build psychological safety in your team and understand the specific leadership behaviours that create or destroy it
Strengthen trust within your team through concrete, deliberate leadership actions
Give and receive feedback effectively using evidence-based frameworks that drive behaviour change
Navigate and leverage constructive conflict as a driver of team growth rather than a threat to harmony
Understand and activate the individual motivational drivers of your team members using Self-Determination Theory

Target Audience
This course is designed for leaders, managers and HR professionals who are responsible for building and developing teams — and who want to move beyond good intentions and create measurable, lasting improvement in how their team performs.
It is particularly relevant for:
Leaders and managers with direct people management responsibility who want to strengthen team culture, collaboration and performance
HR business partners and organisational development professionals who support leaders in building high-performing teams
Project managers and change managers who lead cross-functional teams and need to create alignment, trust and momentum quickly
Leaders who are building a new team, inheriting an existing one or navigating a period of significant change or growth
No prior knowledge of team development theory is required — only a genuine commitment to leading your team differently.
